Power!Talk Radio wins award
ESCANABA - The Michigan Association of Broadcasters announced PowerlTalk Radio has won its third Best of Category Award for 2001. The show was created and hosted by John St. Augustine and produced by AnnMarie Jasso.

The show that was submitted and won featured best-selling author Wayne Dyer with his book "There's a Spiritual Solution to Every Problem" and Steve Rizzo, author of "Becoming a Human Being, the Power to Choose a Better Way." The show aired on Sept. 13, two days after the terrorist attacks on New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania.
"All I can say is that winning this award for Best of Category three years in a row proves what we have known all along," said St. Augustine, a Chicago native."You can air radio that entertains without insulting, you can create radio that moves people in a new direction without leading them and it can be something that empowers listeners with a concrete outcome after three hours of radio.

You can't do anything about the political or in-your-face type shows. All they do is push buttons. I would rather help remind people that America became the country it is not by whining, but by winning."
Producer AnnMarie Jasso has produced the award-winning show for the last four years.
PowerlTalk Radio guests range from authors Wayne Dyer, Cheryl Richardson and don Miguel Ruiz to A&E host Bill Kurtis, and Olympian Dorothy Hamill.
PowerlTalk Radio airs Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. EST on NewsTalk 600 WCHT. It is also simulcast on Charter Communications, Charter Channel 2.
