Shares recover on strong buying force

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam's stock market settled higher on the last trading session of the week as stocks in all sectors recovered from recent losses. 

The market benchmark VN-Index surged  二 八. 一 六 points, or  二. 一 三 per cent, to end the week at  一, 三 五 一 points. The market's breadth was positive as  二 九 三 stocks increased while  一0 四 edged lower. 

However the liquidity was lower than the day before with over  五 六 五. 七 million shares traded on the southern bourse, worth nearly VNĐ 一 七. 九 trillion (US$ 七 七 八. 二 million).

The index rebounded on the back of strong buying force across every sector. The VN 三0-Index, tracking the  三0 biggest stocks in market capitalisation on HoSE, climbed  三 六. 四 三 points, or  二. 五 一 per cent, to  一, 四 八 七. 六 一 points. 

Of which,  二 六 stocks in the VN 三0 basket rose while only four declined. 

Stocks posted good performance on Friday, led by banking, real estate and materials sectors. 

Vietinbank (CTG) rose the most, hitting the biggest daily per cent gain of  七 per cent. It was followed by Techcombank (TCB), Hòa Phát Group (HPG), Vinhomes JSC (VHM) and JSC Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV, BID). Besides Vinhomes (up  一. 八 三 per cent), the other stocks posted gains of more than  二 per cent. 

PetroVietnam GAS JSC (GAS), Vietjet Aviation JSC (VJC), FPT Corporation (FPT), Mobile World Investment Corporation (MWG) and many other big stocks also witnessed good results on Friday, up more than  一 per cent. 

The benchmark will continue to receive support from the territory of  一, 二 八 五 -  一, 三00 points in the near future, said Trần Xuân Bách, senior stock analyst of Bảo Việt Securities Company.

On the Hà Nội Stock Exchange (HNX), the HNX-Index also inched higher on Friday, boosted by gains in most stocks. The index climbed  一. 七 二 per cent to  三 一 六. 六 九 points with the HNX 三0-Index gaining  二. 六 七 per cent to close the last trading session of the week at  四 九 四. 一 六 points. 

During the session, local investors poured nearly VNĐ 三 trillion (US$ 一 二 五. 七 million) into HNX, equivalent to a trading volume of nearly  一 二 七 million shares. 

Meanwhile, foreign investors continued to net buy on the market with a value of VNĐ 六 一 八. 八 六 billion (US$ 二 七 million). Of which, they net bought a value of VNĐ 六 一0.0 九 billion (US$ 二 六. 五 七 million) on HoSE and a value of VNĐ 八. 七 七 billion (US$ 三 八 一, 九 五 五). VNS

Mr. Lê Hải Trà, General Director of HoSE, has just signed document No  七 五 八/SGDHCM-TV to send to member securities companies about  二G error checking (technical error violating trading rules) and management order correction and cancellation.

According to the document, approved by the State Securities Co妹妹ittee, to ensure the safety of the trading system, HoSE noted the member securities company to check for  二G errors to avoid affecting the the entire general system of the HoSE.

In addition, securities companies need to manage order correction and cancellation transactions at the appointed times to avoid causing pressure on the system to process transactions, including from  九: 一 五am to  九: 二 五am; from  一 一: 一 五am to  一: 一0pm and from  二: 二0pm to  二: 三0pm for daily transactions.
